Train with Gale and Timex
At TimexTrainer.com
you have access to free training plans from two of the top coaches in the
country Ironman Hall of Famer Dave Scott and longtime multi-sport coach Gale
Bernhardt. Their interactive programs run the gamut from sprint and Olympic
distance triathlon plans to swim clinics and strength and conditioning. Rocky
caught up with Bernhardt to learn more.
“It’s kind of like Timex is sponsoring you,” explains
Bernhardt of Train with Team Timex. “The program is Timex’s way of helping you
get fit and faster.” Bernhardt got involved with Team Timex because she liked the
idea of an online community that’s accessible to any and all levels of
athletes.
Along with providing training plans, Bernhardt plans to add
more training information and tips. And she’s been giving design feedback on
Timex heart-rate monitors as well as an up-and-coming cycling monitor. “It’s
fun having an influence over a product,” she says.
Bernhardt, a longtime advocate of training with a heart-rate
monitor, appreciates the ease of use with Timex products. Most recently she’s
been using their Ironman Trail Runner with GPS. “I had not used a GPS until
trying their system and it’s very user friendly,” says Bernhardt. Visit TimexTrainer.com for more info.
