Row to Beijing Online Challenge
Concept 2 Rowing is inviting people to help them count down to the Summer Olympics with their virtual "Row to Beijing."
The goal is to row from the
Concept2 headquarters in Morrisville, Vermont to the site of the Olympic Games
in Beijing in time for the rowing events, which start on August 9th. Along the
way, Concept2 will stop to visit some important rowing venues, meet athletes, and learn
about the races at the upcoming Olympic Regatta.
The Details

This is an individual challenge. (You do not need to belong to a team to participate.) Your individual meters will automatically contribute to moving the virtual team boat of the entire Concept2 Online Community.

Incentives and Rewards
Prize drawings are held at each virtual stop along the way from all the people who have rowed at least 2,000 meters that day and entered it in their online logbook. The more days you row 2,000 meters, the more you increase your chances of winning!
Prizes vary from day to day, but will include Concept2 clothing, heart rate monitors, water bottles and some surprises!
The option to purchase specially designed Row to Beijing clothing from cafepress.com.
Drawings are held at (or soon after) noon the next business day following the rowing day, so be sure to enter your meters promptly! We will post names of winners on the website. Winners will be encouraged to send a photo and brief story to be posted as well.
