Energy surges long before the race starts.  From 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24, and Friday, July 25, the Runner Experience at Niketown is open to spectators and runners.  Spectators can have their gaits scrutinized by Nike running experts, can see the most recent Nike+ technology and can buy some New York City Half-Marathon gear.  The workshop also opens from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26.

Spectators can mingle with American Olympian Dathan Riztenhein and Kenyan Olympian Catherine Ndereba as well as receive their autographs, Friday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  The next day, spectators can meet four-time Olympian Colleen De Reuck and also the winner of the Berlin, London and Chicago marathons, Kenyan Felix Limo, from noon to 1:00 p.m. The workshop is located on 6 East 57th Street.
